01 / FROM THE FAIRY GARDENThe peach-pit boat that kept sailing awayRead the story

My first creation was a fairy garden, and The Littles love coming back to see what has changed. I made a tiny boat from a peach pit. Little Dean kept taking it on his own adventures—and the sparkling rocks sometimes found their way into his pockets too.

That’s the best kind of magic to me: making something small enough to invite a story.

02 / AT THE CRAFT TABLEAlways piddling at somethingRead the story

Brian says I’m always piddling or dilly-dallying at something. He’s right. One day it’s watercolor, another day it’s beads, a wreath, or a new idea for a shirt.

I love the making, but I especially love getting to share the finished little surprise with you.

I made my first pair of earrings, and they found a home so quickly I didn’t even get a photo! It made me smile to know a little piece of my craft table was already on its way to someone else.

There will be more one-of-a-kind finds as I keep making.
